Quotation[edit]

I have just cited two quotations from Mike Gunderloy concerning the alternative press (vs. the underground press, or zines). In the interest of full disclosure, the URL in the citation is my own website. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 16:56, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

I merged this with alternative media - practically the entire text. Most folks (and wikipedia articles) don't make a distinction between press/media in the first place, and there was plenty of overlap between the articles. There was also another brilliant reason, but I forgot what it was :-)

Anyway, hope this flies with everyone. Xavexgoem (talk) 07:59, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, given the What links here, nearly all of them go to Alternative Press (magazine), so I've redirected there. If this gets consensus (i.e., no one complains :-p) then I'll move that page over this redirect and add a note to the top of that article that they mean alternative media (disambig seems a little unnecessary). Redirect[edit]

As in the above comment, the term alternative press is best redirected to alternative media NOT an overly commercialized magizine. There are very many magizines that could be labeled as "alternative press" or "alternative media". The article on alternative media covers the idea of alternative press very well. Using "Alternative Press" with the capitalized P is working properly for the magizine —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.163.34.7 (talk) 19:11, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
