The article started out as nonsense, but the place exists, so I tried to add something useful. Don't really know much about this though, should it be simply a redirect to Tibetan Plateau, or are they two different things? Eixo 01:24, 18 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Qingzang" is Chinese, taking the Qing from Qinghai and the Zang from Xizang (Tibet), so the name means "Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau". There is no difference from "Tibetan Plateau" in actual usage. Since the Tibetan plateau is occupied by both Tibet and Qinghai, the Chinese name is perhaps a little clearer, but only in a pedantic sense because a geographical name is only a means of identifying a landform or region. The fact that Qinghai (or even western Sichuan) also occupies part of the "Tibetan Plateau" shouldn't really be a problem. I've redirected to Tibetan Plateau.
