Good article. Can we get some detail as to why it failed? -- Zoe

I think that's somewhat up for debate. Possibilities are:

  • internal bickering (since the factory was "owned" by the workers)
  • incompetence of workers
  • lack of demand for garments and ... potatos

I have hardcopy articles somewhere. I'll take a look soon. -- Shane

We might want to keep the entry "Jersey Homesteads" separated from "Roosevelt, New Jersey", only because the latter refers to the modern town while the former is more historical and refers more to the government project. -- Shane
