This entry is a cut & paste from Anthony Hawkins grape glossary at http://www.stratsplace.com/hawkins/wgg.html#mauzac

Anthony says - MAUZAC: Minor grape mainly grown in the Gaillac region southeast of Bordeaux in France. Used, with Len de l'El to create mildly sweet and sparkling white blended wines. It is also known in other regions under the local synonym name of Blanquette; (not to be confused with a similarly named grape grown in certain regions of Australia).
