I removed the direct quote from Apple's website.

I attempted to add the following text, but was denied... I got an error stating a URL (now absent) that was a direct quote. That's odd since I've removed the direct quote and the text below is non-proprietary.

Apple Macintosh has their own variety of X11 to enable Apple users to run various programs generally offered for the UNIX operating_system.

This gives a wider range of software availability for those using an Apple Computer with OS X "Panther" edtion.

X11 for Mac OS X was updated with the Mac OS X v10.3 edition.
