From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term global warming skeptic has been applied to opponents of the Global Warming Theory (GWT), with two related meanings:

The favorable meaning of the term[edit]

A person who honestly remains unconvinced by the arguments of GWT supporters, after carefully reviewing the data and calculations. Such a person would more accurately be called a "global warming critic."

The unfavorable meaning of the term[edit]

A person who stubbornly or dishonestly refuses to examine the hypothesis about global warming being caused by greenhouse gas emissions, but who instead prefers their own prejudice that no such effect is possible.
