I have substantially cleaned up the Truelove Eyre article based on the references that User:DragonflySixtyseven found, and have removed the spurious claims about the Eyre Empire etc. I am changing my vote to keep: can I persuade you to do the same? Please don't base your decision on the ludicrous Eyre Empire article. Yes, there was a lot of rubbish in this article too, but I have removed that now, and the references show that remaining content is verifiable. To be honest, looking over the Eyre Empire article in its current form, I'm still resolved to keep my vote at delete. I see no references at all - and an awful lot of spurious content (which goes so far as claiming Bill Clinton descended from the Eyres - which I'd happily go along with, if anybody care to provide a reference). Now this presents me with a problem - I don't think the Truelove Eyre article deserves to be on wikipedia, given it's clearly stated Wikipedia is not a genealogy resource, and the opening sentence clearly states "The figure of Truelove (or True Love) appears in geneologies". It's a very hard decision to make, but all I see on the Truelove page at the moment is a family legend, and not a famous one at that. I'm sticking with my original original decision of delete. I take your point about the geneology issue. I see him as notable for his supposed intervention in a critical historical event, but I admit that the story is, at best, apocryphal.
