This needs lots more on the court case and Reamsbottom. It also needs biographical info. Secretlondon 14:45, 30 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Blogs as sources[edit]

WP:SPS makes it quite clear that blogs are not acceptable reliable sources for hot-button topics (i.e. biographies of living people and contemporary politics) unless the author is a professional journalist and/or the blog is a column of a major media outlet. This is not the case with the sources involved in this article. I'd have thought it obvious that blog posts by trade unionist activists is not suitably independent, impartial, or reliable to support any of the statements in this article about Blairite trade unionists being 'hard-right'. Bastin, I've restored the ref to the labournet article. It is a republication of an article by David Osler, a professional journalist and NUJ member, which also formed the basis of The Guardian article cited. I take your point about MF, not sure where we'd get an objective description though as it no longer exists having split between 4tm and PCS Democrats.Haldraper (talk) 19:11, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Born in an orphanage?[edit]

The claim that Serwotka was "born in a Catholic orphanage" seems unlikely, and doesn't seem to be supported by the source cited? JezGrove (talk) 21:25, 9 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well, according to the news article hhe was certainly adopted as a baby from an orphanage, maybe it just needs slightly rewording. Sionk (talk) 00:27, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
