Requested move[edit]

This article is mistitled. It should be Albert the Bear, as he is commonly know by that name, and not as Albert I of Brandenburg. Str1977 (smile back) 07:21, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is indeed mistitled. So I requested a move. "Albert the Bear" (somtimes even "Albrecht the Bear") predominates in the literature and constitutes a decent exception to the other rules, as does the fact that Albert was also Duke of Saxony and by no means is Margrave of Brandenburg his highest title anyway. Srnec 02:24, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No objections. The proposed title Albert the Bear would also match up with the contemporaneous Henry the Lion. Olessi 04:20, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been renamed from Albert I, Margrave of Brandenburg to Albert the Bear as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 06:19, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
