Geography portal on main page

Are you an admin? Otherwise I do not see how you are going to change the source for the Geography category to display a wikiportal. I would have changed it myself if I were an admin. Ancheta Wis 00:56, 13 July 2005 (UTC)

I wish I was! No, but I've requested permission on the talk page. It shouldn't be locked anyway. Do you want to talk about this by email or something? It's easier, my email is robertwiblin AT gmail DOT com . Do you think it's such a good idea to have a portal there? Most just have a link to it. It looks cleaner, but at the same time, the portal is more involving when you get to it. --komencanto 01:00, 13 July 2005 (UTC)

Vandalism of History of South Africa in the apartheid era went undetected.

Hi -- I just noticed that some wholesale vandalism of the History of South Africa in the apartheid era a couple of days ago went undetected until today. An anon replaced the entire text of the article with the old text of the Apartheid article, including the bit about "diaspora Jews." Since this seems to have slipped under everyone's radar (including mine), and I don't know who has History of South Africa in the apartheid era on their watchlist, I thought I'd give you a heads up. --Bcrowell 18:27, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
