1[edit]

I created this entirely from what I remember, so there should be no copyright infringement this time. Sorry for any problems I might have caused. Selphie 12:10, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC) **

The Japanese term for the red bean paste is "anko" (short 'o'), not "ankou". I think we should remove the disambiguation link. Qweryqwery

Ankou's Appearance[edit]

If you Google Ankou, most of the images that appear are of a cloaked man with a scythe, but there is are images of him as a skeleton holding a scythe, so I added that in to the article. 142.26.194.190 (talk) 16:44, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Google is not a reliable resource, but I too have found images of Ankou as a skeleton. 142.26.194.190 (talk) 21:55, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Aräwn[edit]

"Ankou is also known as "Aräwn"." In which country, which language? For sure it is not in Breton. And never heard of this name in Brittany. Gwalarn (talk) 17:41, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Allusions to Ankou[edit]

I added the Undertaker to this article, feeling that it may be relevant to modern references. Feel free to add some citation to help in this verification. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.82.19.148 (talk) 22:03, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite[edit]

This article is poorly written and developed, and needs to be rewritten and expanded upon. Most of the article is poorly written and contains a great deal of information that is unsourced and underdeveloped. The entire article should be rewritten so that it's better written and formatted than what it is currently. The article is also missing information on the Etymology, and Origins of Ankou which needs to be added to the article with proper citations given for its information. Details on the beliefs on Ankou should be placed into a single section with subsections detailing the different beliefs about Ankou. The popular culture section just has a list of unreferenced bullet points and should be rewritten so that it's not in that particular format and citations given form its information. This article has the potential of becoming GA and even FA status if enough attention is given to it in order to bring it to the best quality that it can possibly be.--Paleface Jack (talk) 18:01, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
