Marvel Death[edit]

Don't think this is a real term, or even if it is, it's not a standard term that is encyclopedic. I've seen "death" in this context appended to other comics' publishers, not just Marvel; in any case, it may appear in conversation, but not as an actual term. And before you ask, yes, I am one of the major comics contributors on Wikipedia, so I do think I know what I am talking about. A search on Google seems to only turn up Wikipedia-derived pages, references to the female Death character in the Marvel Universe, references to the death of Marvel Comics as a publishing group, etc.—essentially, topics that are not subjects to which this article refers. --Lowellian 21:53, Oct 1, 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete, with reservations. Having just read the entirety of the Onslaught saga, I fully understand the all-too-common (and frustrating) concept in comics, and I think it might be worthy of some attention. You're right, it's a made-up term; but is there another name where this article (cleaned up) could go? Ian Pugh 00:47, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Actually, never mind. Just delete that sucker altogether, without reservation. Retcon does the job just as well. Comments still stand about Onslaught, though. Ian Pugh 00:53, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Neologism. Useful info is already in retcon. Redirect (do not merge) to Death (Marvel Comics) (an article about the character named Death in Marvel, which is what I would have expected an article by this title to be about). Gwalla | Talk 03:27, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. I'd understand what this meant if used, just as I'd understand what "DC Death" meant if used: exactly the same thing. "Comic-book death" might be a better title if someone were to write a good article about this. Jallan 18:43, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: It looks like a made up term to me. DCEdwards1966 05:53, Oct 3, 2004 (UTC)

  • So if that's the good title, Move to Comic book death then, sheesh! :-P But make the redirect point to Death (Marvel Comics). Kim Bruning 10:04, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)
