Deleted page "Devhook"[edit]

Hi. A page you created, Devhook, has been deleted in accordance with our deletion policy.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable notability guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content; it will be deleted again and may be protected from re-creation. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article. If you have any questions, please contact an administrator for assistance. I noticed you deleted a page I created entitled "Devhook". I don't have a problem with that, but I don't remember making the page. Do you happen to remember any specifics of the contents of the page that might jog my memory and help me make sure someone else wasn't using my account to make that page? Thanks. Hi. Sorry, I should have checked before leaving the message, as it won't mean a lot to you. I've checked the deleted history, what actually happened was you created a redirect at Devhook (to PlayStation Portable homebrew), months ago, which someone replaced with spam. I deleted the article, read your name off the bottom of the history and left the message, without noticing that you'd only made a redirect. So don't worry, your account hasn't been compromised. I'll notify the real author now (you can re-create the redirect if you want). Again, my apologies – Gurch 22:42, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sonic the Hedgehog GBA vs Genesis.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sonic the Hedgehog GBA vs Genesis.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. You're almost there! 1 and 3 are "wrong" but 3 you are on the right track. Wrong player though. A common bishop, one who almost every child in the world knows. Goyston (talk) (contribs) 14:32, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
