"Solid Modeling" instead of "Solid modelling" ??[edit]

Should this page should be named "Solid Modeling" instead of "Solid modelling" ?? who knows?

The standard scientific name for Solid Modeling is Solid Modeling, just one L. — User forgot to sign

Well, how do you know the scientific worldwide accepted name is "Solid modeling"? I am sure the Brits put double l no matter what. Besides, there is redirect from solid modeling to solid modelling (try it out!), so ultimately it does not matter. Let us leave it the way the original authors meant it. No? Whoever changed the spelling in the article today also broke links. I think that's a pretty clear sign that the alternate spellings chosen are not common. A quick google search on each of the words changed also confirms this. It was an anon, or I'd bother to leave them a message on their talk page. There are other pages on wikipedia better devoted to spelling wars. --ssd 01:48, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Based on my experience the scientific name is Solid Modeling (just one L). You can run a search on Google to verify my statement:

"Solid Modelig" returns 574,000 pages
"Solid Modellig" returns 142,000 pages

If you prefer, you can run the same search on Association for Computing Machinery web site and you will get:

"Solid Modelig" returns 97,004 hits
"Solid Modelling" returns 18,485 hits

Based on that I assume that the correct way should be to have Solid Modelling entry to be redirected to Solid Modeling and not vice versa. Folini 17:01, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
