Raw materials vs Cuisine[edit]

It seems like this category has a number of entries which dont exactly fit as a "cuisine" when they are actually raw materials. However, I also recognise some "raw materials" are also served as dishes in their own right under the same name. I feel this category should be for articles which are the names of dishes. ie, Fried Rice as opposed to Rice. Gingerbread as opposed to Ginger.

I removed Longan and Lychee...two obvious examples of raw materials which dont quality as a dish. Ginger, Bamboo, Winter melon, Gas bladder etc, are all potential candidates for removal. Not may "raw material" candidates may stay, such as Ginseng?--Huaiwei 08:10, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I agree. — Pekinensis 17:42, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)
